Patient: 74 year old female with history of extensive right knee osteoarthritis.
Presentation: Patient presents with a walker and hand carries her plain film radiographs from a recent orthopedic evaluation. Significant right knee edema and peripheral effusion is noted. She is not content with the idea of 'having to live with it".
SRA Evaluation: C3 right axial spinal reflex mechanism with secondary L4 compression per chronic iliopsoas reflexive contracture further aggravation long standing osteoarthritic changes in the lower lumbar spine. Further chronic quadriceps muscle contractures as a result of C3/L4 axial spinal reflexes resulting in prolonged knee hyperextension and subsequent osteoarthritis aggravation is noted.
Treatment: CMT to C3 and L4 per SRA protocols with a 95% reduction in pain and edema and a 65% improvement in knee ROM within five days.
Recommendations: CMT PRN and visual corrective changes per SRA protocols.
